Looking back
Franky and Coen travel again and again to Ukraine to provide refugees, children and soldiers with French fries and snacks. We then make it as cozy as possible with music and nicely decorated tents so these people can escape from the harsh reality for a while. Each day we give away up to 2,000 servings of French fries and snacks. A total of hundreds of thousands of trays of fries and hundreds of thousands of snacks in dozens of trips.
Soon we will go to eastern Ukraine again.
Below you can see videos of our previous trips:
You can see videos of our trips in the Donbas, Kherson, Zaparozhje, and Kharkiv, among others, where we handed out fries and snacks many times. We visited special people in special locations. We were in Kherson a few kilometers from the Russians. We were in Zaparozhe with an old woman who a few days earlier lost her husband and everything she loved in a cowardly artillery attack, we were with a farmer who has cleared hundreds of mines on his own land and just keeps going again. We were with soldiers on the front lines. But we also joined Denis Khrystov at the zero line to evacuate people. And we opened our own refugee reception site in Ukraine . You can watch videos of all these experiences (and many more) below.
Among other things, we spent a day in Adeiïvka. This town was hit hard and according to official figures, not one building is completely intact. Truly every building was hit. We talked to some of the residents still here and we looked around the town. This affected us badly.
Unfortunately, on June 27, we were involved in a heavy missile strike in Kramatorsk.
While we were eating quietly in the restaurant, an Iskander missile (type K) struck, in the restaurant. In the process, 13 people died and more than 60 were injured. Right on the stretch where we were sitting, the roof did not collapse which proved to be our salvation. We were so extremely lucky, it is almost impossible to describe. Our refrigerated truck that was in front of the restaurant was badly damaged but it is now being repaired. Unfortunately, several acquaintances of ours did die that day. These were mostly very young people and, for the record, ordinary innocent citizens!
What happened that day only further strengthened our feelings to support Ukraine.
Will you help us support these people?
